Premier League games announced, Manchester City start title defense at West Ham

Manchester City will begin their Premier League title defense at West Ham, while Liverpool travels to Fulham for the season's opening weekend. The games for the 2022/23 season, released on Thursday, give new Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag an opening test at Old Trafford against Brighton, who beat United 4-0 last month. Nottingham Forest's first top-flight game in 23 years comes to Newcastle. Pep Guardiola's City will start their bid for a fifth title in six seasons at the London Stadium on Sunday 7 August after all their rivals have started their campaigns. Frank Lampard, whose Everton side narrowly avoided relegation, clashed with his former employers Chelsea the night before. For the second year in a row, Arsenal has the honor of kicking off the new campaign with a trip to Crystal Palace on Friday 5 August. Liverpool and City renewed their rivalry at Anfield in mid-October after a midweek Champions League draw, with the second leg scheduled for early April. Red&
